About Green Easter
Green Easter is an alternative rock band from Cary, Illinois. Consisting of founding members
Michael Wlodek on Drums
Nazarene Mitchell on Guitar and Lead Vocals
Emerson Brashear on Bass
Formed in 2017 their music pulls from punk, grunge, blues, and heavier rock influences, but the focus is less on genre and more on feel. Bass lines often carry the movement, drums push and react rather than sit back, and guitar parts move between restraint and release. The result is music that feels direct, tense, and lived-in.
Lyrically, Green Easter’s songs explore relationships, self-reflection, frustration, and emotional fallout without leaning on easy conclusions. The writing favors observation over explanation, letting moments speak for themselves.
The band’s early EP, Fetus Form (2018), captured their raw and volatile beginnings. That energy carried into their full-length album Still (2019), where the sound became heavier and more deliberate while staying true to its core.
Green Easter discovers more about itself through each show, recording and late-night search and listeners are invited to meet the band where they are and stay with them as long as the songs hold them.
